My 3 *Favorite* Johns/Jons
And, no, I don't mean "John" in the prostitute sense.
Jonathan Coulton
Jonathan Coulton is, according to his website a, "musician, a singer-songwriter and an internet superstar..."
Well Jonathan, now that you have been featured on my blog, you are now an internet SUPERNOVA-HYPERBRIGHT-AWESOMELASERS-CELEBRITY!!!!
Whether or not you know it, you're familiar with Jonathan's work. You might've heard the 700 Hobos song, or the fabulous "Still Alive", featured in the game Portal.
I've been going through listening to all of his music and I love it and it is awesome and he is awesome and he works with awesome people and that leads me into my next favorite John.
John Hodgman
John Hodgman is perhaps best known as "PC," from the Mac commercials.
But John Hodgman will always be, to me, John Hodgman, author of the book, An Almanac of Complete World Knowledge Compiled with Instructive Annotation and Arranged in Useful Order by Me, John Hodgman, a Professional Writer, in the Areas of My Expertise, which Include: Matters Historical; Matters Literary; Matters Cryptozoological; Hobo Matters; Food, Drink, & Cheese (a Kind of Food); Squirrels & Lobsters & Eels; Haircuts; Utopia; What Will Happen in the Future; and Most Other Subjects; Illustrated with a Reasonable Number of Tables and Figures, and Featuring the Best of "Were You Aware of It?", John Hodgman's Long-Running Newspaper Novelty Column of Strange Facts and Oddities of the Bizarre.
One of the greatest books ever written. Not a day goes by where I do not think about the Furry Old Lobster, getting either very high or very autistic, Hohaq, the 51st state, Top Spots for Crabs!, or the secrets of the Mall of America.
John and Jonathan worked together on the audio recording of John's book, and so it is fitting that they be 2 of my 3 favorite Johns/Jons.
Finally:
John-Mark Harrell
Enough said.
