AGGGGGG PEOPLE STOP BEING SUCH RETARDS!
The Connotation of the Word "Spastic" in the United Kingdom
This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
You know what, I'm FUCKING TIRED of people being offended by things. ANYTHING. We have the right to offend each other! Why don't you just get the FUCK over it. Offensive speech is only offensive if you allow it to be so.
Lets talk about this a little bit.
WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GET OFFENDED BY THINGS, EVER?! WHY CAN YOU NOT JUST UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT PEOPLE SAY DOESN'T MATTER IN THE GODDAMN FUCKING SLIGHTEST!
You know, I think that we teach our children little aphorisms, and then not follow through with them ourselves. For example, we teach children that sharing is a good, kind, responsible thing to do. IT IS FUCKING CLEAR THAT MOST HUMAN ADULTS DO NOT SHARE! We also teach children that, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." BUT AS SOON AS YOU'RE NO LONGER IN THE SECOND GRADE, WORDS BECOME SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE TO CALL MAJOR LEAGUE PRESS CONFERENCES OVER IN ORDER TO APOLOGIZE OVER!
I know someone is going to say, "Not saying offensive things is showing respect to your fellow man." Well, you know what? THOSE FELLOW MEN AREN'T SHOWING ANY GODDAMNED RESPECT TO ME, BY BEING FUCKING STUPID! AHHHHHH!

I am highly offended by your choice of language in this post, and will have my lawyer contact yours in the morning ;)
On a serious note, a lot of universities are establishing a "right not to be offended". I disagree with it completely. While I do not believe people have a "duty to offend" or anything, saying people cannot offend means you have to "define" what "offend" means. Who defines it, and what if their definition conflicts with yours? Next time you know, you'll call your friend a klutz only to be suspended from university over it.
I'm reminded of an episode of "Disney's Recess" cartoon series, when the teachers decide that the students' word, "Whomps", for when something bad happens, is a "bad word", and they tell the students not to say it or else be punished.
I think the word "spaz" may have been used in the English dub of "Sailor Moon" by DiC. I wonder what happened when it came time to showing such an episode over in the UK.
This blog post reeks of irony. No offense, or anything :)
